iTunes to be split into three apps after MacOS update – what it means for you




The tech giant said future versions of its MacOS operating system, which powers its computers, will replace the iTunes app with separate apps called Music, TV and Podcasts. The new next version of MacOS, called Catalina, will be released later this year.
However, iTunes will remain on Windows computers, and there’ll be no change to how iTunes works on iOS devices such as iPads and iPhones, where there are already separate Music, TV and Podcasts apps alongside the iTunes store.
